Introducing myself

Post by NorfolkTurts » Mon Oct 05, 2015 6:21 pm

Hi all
I keep two sliders, Trachemys scripta, a male and a female. I rescued them about two and a half years ago. I'm not sure which subspecies (or hybrid?) they are so will post some pictures to see what the other forum members think. I've also got a Chinese softshell, Pelodiscus sinensis, that I've had for about two years. I suspect that it is a male as it attempts what appears to be copulation with a large round rock in his tank.

I've kept freshwater fish for 25 years and have an environmental sciences background so know a fair bit about water chemistry. In addition to the fish I've got a few axolotls that live outside and my girlfriend keeps rats.
