Welcome to the forum as the Romans say.

I think your approach is very similar to mine and the need to breed these animals is quite important.
I have a couple of small females, one is probably two years off breeding. I have all four kinds of painted and am looking for a midland male. I have an ickle one that is years away from breeding.

How do you keep him and can you share pictures please.

What are your temps, and do you have a good UVB source? Looks in good condition other than needing a good shed :)

This one I caught in Arizona he was a nice chunky animal. Females get bigger still.

I keep him at about 23c temperature, and has a 5 ft uvb tube across the tank, with a basking lamp aswell in the dry area, he is actually quite small for a grown western painted, hes been this size for a long time since iv had him and the persom before also said he hasent grow since hes had him, not sure of his age but guessing i would say hes about 4/5 years old but im no expert ~lgh-smil , and hes currently in the middle of shedding, hes looking realy nice actually so cant wait untill hes shredded it all.Would love to get another, anyone no of anyone selling?
