pictures are too small, cant really make them out properly.
looks to me as though you have a lid on your tank???
having a lid can cause high humidity which isnt healthy for turtles,it can cause respiratory problems which can prove to be fatal.

how have you taken the pics, phone or camera?
either way there should be a resizing setting to make them bigger.

Hi there. Nice to meet you on the site.

I looked at the reptile one tanks before.

They have an attractive background built in and a wire top which is handy. Looks nice and clean in there with an easy to clean bottom :-) Both turtles look healthy from here.

I guess the fitting that comes with the tank has a "normal" size flourescent bulb with UV content?

What is probably missing is an additional heat source ( basking lamp ) aimed at the basking platform. This will provide heat to warm up their cold blooded bodies.

If you want to upgrade you could think about changing the filter, as I remember the filter that comes with the kit does not have much volume for media, and getting a larger tank at some point :-). It looks like the basking area is the same width as the turtles, they could probably do with a bit more water volume to move around in and dilute their waste.

All the best.

Michael

Great, I wasn't sure on both counts. I thought the pipe work looked familiar, I have an FX-5. :-)
