Some photos after 'the big move'...

Post by Turtle Jo » Mon Mar 14, 2011 8:50 pm

Well it took two weeks to move all of the turtles across to the new house.... (I am NEVER doing it again! ~lgh-smil )

A 6 x 2 x 2 in the living room, houses Pelusios Castaneus
Image

A 5 x 2 x 2 in the turtle room, houses a trio of Staurotypus Salvini... still some work to do on this one as I need to add a nesting area...
Image

A 6 x 2 x 2 in the dining room, houses 2 x juvenile Phrynops Tuberosus and 2 x juvenile Phrynops Hilarii
Image

The 'Turtle Room'... still some electrical work to be done (additional circuit, extra sockets and extractor fans)... plus some long awaited tank upgrades to be made, but getting there...

Two hatchling/juvi set ups in the utility room

... and I don't yet have photos of the three 'indoor' ponds in the shed! ~wsltng

(and yes I do have a very understanding other half! ~lgh-smil )

Has anyone else noticed that the turtle in the corner of the first pic looks like a sticker? :P

Looks good.
The logistics, of moving a big collection of animals seems very daunting and I do not envy the experience. ~wink-smile

Richard, you are so right! ... we were moving the last tank at 9pm Sunday evening ~cnf-blink

It felt never ending at the time... so glad it's done now. Not something I ever want to repeat anytime soon.
