Nah, I like the idea of the Waterland tubs, but I think they're overpriced for the volume they hold (biggest is more than £300, isn't it?), especially when compared to things such as the Laguna tubs. Take a bit more work to create the setup, but worth it totally for the cash saving (I'm not tight, I'm shrewd!) ~lgh-smil

Mind, I'd have a Waterland tub if there was one going locally, sure I'd find a use for it ~wsltng

My snapper makes use of it in the summer but I wish I had seen the Laguna tubs before I brought it, it was meant to be £300 but I got it knocked down to about £240 as one side is a little bit bent in, it makes no difference to the tub though

Well I just thank my lucky stars for the wonders of the internet, I'd never have got something so suitable locally, and for such a good price, without being given the pointers I was! I couldn't even fnd a stockist of preformed ponds locally ~cnf-blink

I'd never heard of the Laguna tubs until someone else linked to one. Even then I dismissed it in favour of building a pond from scratch, because we couldn't figure how to fit the tub in our house! We hadn't planned on Freecycling furniture, you see ~llol

It was at Jo's that I saw the big tubs in action & just had to get one, when you consider how much a tank of the same volume would cost & they are perfect for turtles of pretty much any size!

This is just an awesome set up. I have my two little turtles in a regular old aquarium and I'm afraid they just aren't that happy. I would absolutely LOVE to set something up like this. Not sure if you already have; but is there anyway you could list all the things needed to complete a good looking indoor pond like this? I'm still sorta new to owning turtles: have only had mine for about 6 months. Any help or additional information you could provide me with would be grately appreciated! Thanks again.

You need to either host your pictures somewhere like Photobucket, or resize them to something like 800x600 as the would bring them down well below the 256k limit. Obviously there can't be unlimited space for people to upload their pics, and there is a post in tech support explaining how to post pics :)
