Post by fallenwarrior » Tue Oct 15, 2013 12:52 pm

Hello everyone, I need help indentifying a terrapin ive just been given, he is the size of a small dinner plate, 15 years old flat webbed feet with long claws, stripes on head and front arms on and dark skin on back legs, i will upload a picture later on.

Hes from the uk also.

Im a newbie to looking after terrapins so still not sure about the size of tank and water that should be in there, any advice would be welcome, thanks.

Thanks for your help everyone :)

Hello and welcome, you've come to the right place ~dance

It looks very much like a slider of some type (others will confirm) so the first place to head would be the care sheets on the main home page. Immediate action to take is lid off as humidity is bad, second is to remove gravel as he will eat it and it can cause obvious stomach problems. A dry area for basking should also be a priority. Have a read through and if you haven't been put off, come back with your questions - there is always someone to help ~trttle
