HELP my terrapin has a lump on his chin

Post by Alexblackwell » Sun Jul 12, 2015 10:23 am

Hi,
I'm really worried about my terrapin terry.
He's recently developed what looks like a lump on his chin, he's alone in the tank and I don't think I have anything else in the tank that would cause it.
He's acting normal, and about 5 years old in a 4ft tank (see picture attached)

Please can anyone tell me if this is serious? Or any remedys I can use to help remove it?

Thankyou,
Alexandra :)

Looks like a little cut which should heal fine on it's own providing the water quality is good, but if it gets any worse then you'll need to treat with something like acriflavine or similar antiseptic available from any decent aquatics store :) Probably just caught it on one of the bricks / blocks you have in the tank for the basking area.
